Shattered Light Fixture Closes Claude Moore Rec Center Pool

The competition pool at Loudoun County’s Claude Moore Recreation Center is closed until further notice to remove debris from an overhead light fixture that came unhinged from its mount, fell to the ground and shattered.

To ensure the public’s safety, the pool will be drained, cleaned and refilled to remove debris from the pool and surrounding areas.

In addition, the security of all light fixtures will be assessed before the Recreation Center schedules a date for the pool to reopen, which will be postedo n the Loudoun County website at www.loudoun.gov/claudemoorerec.

Claude Moore Recreation Center is located at 46105 Loudoun Park Lane in Sterling.
