Sheriff's Deputy Faces Sex With Inmate Charge In Loudoun County
A sheriff's deputy who has been with the office since 2016 is facing a sex crime charge that happened at the county jail.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — A sheriff's deputy in Loudoun County is facing a sex charge related to an incident with a female inmate.
The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office arrested and Deputy Mason Zimmerman Monday. Zimmerman is charged with carnal knowledge of a person detained or arrested by a law-enforcement officer, or an inmate, which is a class 6 felony. The carnal knowledge charge refers to a sexual intercourse offense.
The offense happened with a female inmate at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center. Zimmerman, who has been employed as a correctional deputy since July 14, 2016, was fired from the sheriff's office position. He was transferred to the Alexandria City Adult Detention Center, was arranged on Monday and has a bond hearing Tuesday.
