SouvlakiBar's 4 NoVA Locations Transitioning To Big Greek Cafe

SouvlakiBar announced it would transition to Big Greek Cafe, which brands itself as "just like yia yia used to make."

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — A Greek restaurant brand with two of its four locations in Loudoun County will soon trade hands but maintain the same cuisine.

SouvlakiBar announced it will transition to The Big Greek Cafe, a locally-based homemade Greek chain that has nine locations in Maryland. The SouvlakiBar locations in Sterling, Leesburg, Oakton and Alexandria will be The Big Greek Cafe's first in Virginia.

"We are teaming up with The Big Greek Cafe to offer our customers an extensive selection of Greek dishes cooked and prepared just like Yia Yia used to make!" SouvlakiBar shared in a social media post.

The last day the restaurants will operate as SouvlakiBar will be Dec. 21. The Alexandria location in 2016 was the first SouvlakiBar to open. The Sterling and Leesburg locations opened in 2018. The Oakton location was the latest to open in 2021.

Reopening dates for The Big Greek Cafe locations were not immediately announced.
