Spartan Maroon & Gold Scrimmage/Auction Benefits Ryan Diviney

Don’t miss out on an opportunity to check out the Broad Run Spartans before the football season begins and to benefit Ryan Diviney, a former student who played football at the school, during the annual Maroon & Gold Scrimmage.

A silent auction is planned to raise money for Diviney, who requires care from him family after a brutal beating while at West Virginia University. Members of the Ashburn community have held many fundraisers for the family, including during Broad Run games. To learn more or donate directly to Diviney’s trust fund, visit ryansrally.org. Donations will also be accepted during the scrimmage.

The scrimmage provides the football team its first opportunity for full contact practice. Check out the video to learn more from Coach Matt Griffis.

Practice and drills begin at 9 a.m. Aug. 10 at the high school, with the scrimmage planned afterward. There will be complimentary concessions.
