Sterling Man Charged with Cocaine Possession Following Traffic Stop

A Sterling man who fled from a vehicle during a traffic stop after a deputy found cocaine in the car was arrested Saturday morning.

A Sterling man held on a fugitive of justice warrant from Indiana faces felony drug charges after attempting to run from a Loudoun deputy Saturday.

A deputy initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle at the Sterling Boulevard/Church Road area of Sterling around 2:30 a.m. Saturday morning. During a search of the vehicle, the deputy found cocaine inside and a passenger fled on foot, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office.

Following the chase, Luis M. Vasquez-Flores, 23, of Sterling, was arrested and charged with felony possession of a Schedule I/II narcotic, obstruction of justice with force and resisting arrest.
