Strangers In Car Offer Kids Candy, Money In Loudoun: Police

Two strangers approached children and offered them candy and money to coax them into a car in Chantilly, according to the LCSO.

CHANTILLY, VA—Two strangers approached children and offered them candy and money to coax them into a car Jan. 13 in the 42000 block of Abney Wood Drive, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. They're described as a male with a thin build and a heavyset female.

A man told police that while he was shoveling snow, a neighbor's children came up to him and said a male and a female approached them. The unknown people offered the children candy and money to get them into the car. The children yelled, and the strangers drove away in their vehicle.

The neighbor didn't report the incident until Sunday. Anyone with information is urged to call the LCSO at 703-777-0407.
