String of Related Graffiti Reported Across Ashburn

Three separate reports of graffiti on community signs across Ashburn were reported within a span of two days last week.

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office received three reports of graffiti that used language disparaging to a specific culture on various community signs in the Brambleton area of Ashburn.

The incidents are believed to be related to similar reports in the area beginning as early as July 2014.

The first incident was reported Sept. 25 around 5 p.m. in the Olympia Drive/Creighton Road area.

The second incident was reported Sept. 26 around 11:30 p.m. in the Northstar Boulevard/Shreveport Drive area.

The third incident was also reported Sept. 26 around 11:30 p.m. in the Evergreen Mills Road/Tradewind Drive area.

Another incident was reported Sept. 28 when an unknown subject(s) vandalized a residence by damaging the landscaping and egging the house. Vulgar and hate-related messages were written in marker on the garage door. The incident does not appear to be related to the three incidents in the Brambleton area.
