Suspects Reportedly Photographed, Harassed Sterling Elementary School Students

Four Sterling elementary school students were reportedly harassed by unknown male suspects while walking home from school Oct. 16 and 17.

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office has received multiple reports of male suspects reportedly approaching or taking pictures of elementary school-aged students near Countryside and Rolling Ridge Elementary Schools in Sterling.

Two unknown male suspects were reportedly taking cell phone pictures of elementary school-aged students as they were getting onto a school bus around 3:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon.

The incident occurred at the 20600 block of CountrySide Boulevard near Countryside Elementary School in Sterling. The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office assigned directed patrol to the area.

The Sheriff’s Office received another report of a separate incident involving two elementary-aged girls who were walking home from school Friday, Oct. 17. An unknown male driving a pickup truck reportedly approached the girls around 3 p.m. The suspect reportedly made inappropriate comments toward the girls and the two then ran home together.

The incident occurred at the East Frederick Drive/Thomas Jefferson Road area near Rolling Ridge Elementary School in Sterling. Directed patrol was assigned to the area.
