ASHBURN, VA—Police are looking into a couple of "suspicious event(s)" this week involving strangers and kids, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

In one incident, Wednesday in the 44000 block of Fincastle Drive, a woman said her daughter was walking to Ashburn Elementary School when she saw two people at the entrance to a tunnel under the road. A male and a female were standing on either side of the sidewalk, and they offered to help her "cross the ice." She declined their offer, after which they tried to grab her. She circled around them and ran through the tunnel to school.

In the other incident, on a path between the neighborhoods of Altivista Way and Mossy Brook Square, a woman said her daughter and a friend saw a man taking photos of them. He was described as being 30-40 years old with blond hair, glasses and wearing black clothes.
