New Taqueria And Tequila Bar To Hold Grand Opening In Ashburn

A new restaurant originating from a food truck will have its grand opening in Ashburn this week.

ASHBURN, VA — A locally-owned taquería and tequila bar is filling a vacant restaurant space in Ashburn.

The Taco Shop & Bar is set to have its grand opening Wednesday, from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. in the Broadlands neighborhood (42882 Truro Paris Drive Unit 105, Ashburn, VA). The business replaces Neighbors Bar & Grill, which the Burn reported in late 2024 to have closed.

The restaurant describes itself as a street-inspired taquería and tequila bar offerings "Mexican cooking with the tradition and a twist of our own." On the menu, diners will find a variety of shared appetizers and small bites; tacos with vegetarian and vegan choices, fajitas, enchiladas, salads, soups and more. A kids menu is also available. The bar is centered around its tequila and mezcal offerings, providing numerous options of Mexican-inspired cocktails, beer and wine.

According to the restaurant's website, the concept originated in 2021 with the Don Sebas Taqueria Food Truck. The food truck grew in popularity with pop-ups in neighborhoods, wineries, breweries and festivals in Loudoun County. The same family owns two other restaurants — Don Sebas Taqueria in Woodbridge and Helena's Mexican Restaurant in Fairfax County just south of Alexandria.
