There’s Still Time To Get Into The Halloween Spirit At These 26 Events In NoVA

Halloween is on a Friday this year, which means celebrations will stretch into the weekend in Northern Virginia. Adding to the fun, Halloween won’t fall on a Friday again until 2031.

There’s still time to get in on the Halloween fun at haunted houses, costume parties, ghost tours, and even “smashing pumpkin” events at the zoo.

Families should be aware that events at federal facilities may be cancelled due to the federal government shutdown, like Air and Scare at the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center and Boo at the Zoo at the National Zoo. Depending on how long the shutdown lasts, the Night of the Living Zoo at National Zoo could be cancelled on Oct. 24 and 25.
