ASHBURN, VA—A woman was arrested Wednesday after fleeing from a hit-and-run crash in the 19000 block of Belmont Chase Drive and later assaulting a deputy after being found in the 30 block of Town Center Drive in Lovettsville, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. Crystal D. Todd, 34, of Lovettsville, was charged with felony hit and run, DUI, assault on law enforcement and hindering.

Shortly before 7:15 p.m., police were summoned to a parking lot on Belmont Chase Drive for a hit-and-run crash. They found that Todd crashed into another vehicle while trying to back out of a space and then departed. The person who was hit gave police Todd's license plate number, and they broadcast a be-on-the-lookout alert over the radio.

Police in western Loudoun County spotted Todd before she returned home and pulled her over, after which she pushed a deputy "in an attempt to get away from the area."
