STERLING, VA—Who among us hasn't experienced exasperation at a Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles outlet? Best to pack your patience. Or not. So it went for a woman Wednesday morning, June 5, at the DMV in the 100 block of Free Court.

Shortly after 8 a.m., police responded to the scene after reports of a disorderly woman in the facility. When deputies arrived, they attempted to place her into handcuffs but she aggressively resisted. At one point, she struck one of the officers.

Finally, Jamuat Phanraya-Hall, 42, of Reston, was subdued, arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, obstruction of justice and assault on a law enforcement officer. She was held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center without bond. LCSO spokesman Kraig Troxell said Thursday it's unclear what caused Phanraya-Hall to become so agitated.
