Worker Who Drowned At Ashburn Reservoir Identified: UPDATE
UPDATE: A Maryland man who drowned Monday at an Ashburn reservoir has been identified: LCSO.

ASHBURN, VA—A Maryland man drowned Monday morning, May 6, after being swept away while clearing debris from the dam at Goose Creek Reservoir in the 20500 block of Belmont Ridge Road has been identified, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. Jorge Torres, Jr., was working for a commercial dive company hired to remove debris from the dam area.
Around 6:45 a.m., police responded to the scene for a reported drowning. They found that the man was moving into the water while attached to a safety line when the water pulled him over the dam. Co-workers tried to free him to no avail.
