ALDIE, VA—A driver was arrested early Saturday night after nearly crashing head-on into a police car while in the wrong travel lane, fleeing and then plowing into an embankment in the area of Braddock Road and Gum Spring Road, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. Samuel A. Shull, 27, of Sterling, was charged with felony eluding, reckless driving and also was served an outstanding warrant for trespassing.
Around 7 p.m., a deputy saw a vehicle driving the wrong way on Braddock coming directly at him. The deputy took "evasive action" to avoid being hit, and then tried to pull over the driver, who kept on going before losing control and crashing.
