ASHBURN, VA — The summer season is underway at One Loudoun, and one new business is opening to serve the summer crowds.

Yoder's Dutch Delights will have its grand opening Friday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. The location is a kiosk space next to Fantasticks (44717 Thorndike Street, Ashburn, VA).

The One Loudoun location will have a different experience than the Manassas Park shop. Co-owner Sam Yoder said in a social media video that the kiosk location will have a build-your-own donut experience. The shop will have six or seven donut flavors made fresh at the Manassas Park location and delivered to One Loudoun. Customers can add their choices of 12 to 15 toppings and six glazes to the donuts. The business says customers can share feedback and items they'd like to see at the topping bar.

"You will get to build your own donut for a very personalized, fun and creative experience," said Yoder in the video. "We're really excited to introduce this concept to you. We hope that you will enjoy it."

Yoder's Dutch Delights is a family-run business specializing in Amish-inspired donuts. According to the Yoder's Dutch Delights website, owners and siblings Sam and Jules Yoder grew up in an Amish Mennonite community in Pennsylvania and learned family recipes made from scratch. With inspiration and recipes from other relatives who owned Richmond's former Mrs. Yoder’s Kitchen, the siblings started a food truck in Northern Virginia. The food truck served farmers markets and special events for six years before they opened a brick-and-mortar location in Manassas Park.

The business noted the One Loudoun location is not a full-scale shop, which means offerings will be limited. However, it said the location could have exclusive items. According to The Burn, the business brings fresh donuts during opening days to One Loudoun, as it does not have a kitchen.

Hours beyond the grand opening weekend have not yet been announced.
