New Amish-Style Donut Shop Plans New Location In Ashburn
Amish-inspired donuts will be coming to Ashburn this summer at a second storefront location for a family-owned business.

ASHBURN, VA — Loudoun County residents need not go to the Amish country to get their style of baked goods.
Yoder's Dutch Delights, a family-run business, will be filling a kiosk space at One Loudoun (44717 Thorndike Street, Ashburn, VA). The location is listed as "coming soon." An exact opening date was not available.
The business had opened its first storefront in Manassas Park in the spring. According to the Yoder's Dutch Delights, owners and siblings Sam and Jules Yoder grew up in an Amish Mennonite community in Pennsylvania and learned family recipes made from scratch.

With inspiration and recipes from other relatives who owned Richmond's former Mrs. Yoder’s Kitchen, the siblings started a food truck in Northern Virginia. The food truck served farmers markets and special events for six years before they opened a brick-and-mortar location in Manassas Park.
The business specializes in Amish — also known as Pennsylvania Dutch — inspired donuts. Its signature flavors are vanilla glazed, maple glazed, cinnamon sugar and blueberry. Specialty flavors with fillings are offered on a rotating basis. Sandwiches on homemade buns complete the menu.

One Loudoun has seen other recent openings, such as the Lenscrafters store offering eyewear and optometrist services (44699 Brimfield Dr St A-105, Ashburn, VA), Glo30, which provides clients with their "perfect facial every 30 days" (20404 Exchange St Suite P-102, Ashburn, VA) and Handmade by LMAC's larger location (20453 Exchange Street, Ashburn, VA). After renovations last year, One Loudoun's splash pad will reopen this summer.
A Falafel Inc. location is in the works in the former location of Meadows Original Frozen Custard (20548 Easthampton Plaza, Ashburn, VA). The fast casual chain offers menu items for up to $6 and provides support to feed people in need, including refugees and Palestinians. The location is targeted to open in the spring.

One Loudoun is in the midst of an expansion to its mixed-use community. According to owner Kite Realty Group, the expansion will add 86,000 square feet of retail space, a new business hotel, 23,000 and 34,000 square feet of office space, and 400 luxury apartment units. Retail offerings announced for the next phase were Arhaus, Van Leeuwen Ice Cream, bartaco, and Tatte Bakery and Café. Construction activities are underway on the north end of the One Loudoun development.
