- Virginia Tech researchers are studying the connection between post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and a protein called ubiquitin. Dr. Timothy Jarome explains that ubiquitin is involved in the formation of fear-based memories related to traumatic events, particularly in women. Their research aims to develop therapeutic interventions that can effectively treat PTSD in women by targeting this protein. (WDBJ)
- Blacksburg's In Balance Yoga is hosting its 10th "Kunga Fest" fundraiser, supporting the "Homes of Hope Orphanage" in India, with the aim of cultivating positive change through yoga and community. The event offers donation-based classes and a silent auction, with all proceeds going directly to the orphanage. It is an opportunity for both beginners and experienced yogis to participate, promote philanthropy, and contribute to their community. (WFXRtv.com)
