- Two bodies were found in Roanoke County, and investigators suspect a connection to two earlier fires in the city of Roanoke. The deceased individuals were identified as 62-year-old Lewis James Lambert Jr. and a juvenile. Both victims had been shot, with one gunshot wound appearing to be self-inflicted. No suspects are being sought, and authorities assure the community that there is no immediate danger. (WBDJ)
- Glade Spring Town Council has approved $1.7 million for stormwater management and sewer improvements in the Glade Spring Crossing housing development. The project includes 176 housing units, including 24 affordable units backed by $2 million in pandemic relief funds. The funding aims to address flooding and erosion concerns in the area.
