Here are the top three stories today in Blacksburg:
- Virginia Tech's tuition fees will increase by 4.9 percent for the 2023-2024 school year, affecting all students including those in the undergraduate, graduate, vet, and Carilion School of Medicine programs. In-state students can expect to pay an additional $600 a year, while out-of-state students will have to pay an extra $1,500. The Board of Visitors claims the increase is necessary to support the university's budget, but financial aid will be provided to help students cope with the change. (WSLS 10)
