Adam's Angels 5K Set for Saturday at Robinson Secondary
Proceeds from the third annual benefits a foundation created in memory of Robinson Secondary School graduate Adam Seymour.

There's still time for runners from around the Burke-area to register for the 3rd Annual Adam's Angels 5K race.
Adam's Angels is part of the Adam P. Seymour Foundation, which was formed in memory of Robinson Secondary School graduate Adam Seymour. According to the Foundation's website, Seymour died in August 2010 from cardiac arrest while he was competing in a pre-season training run with the Lynchburg College soccer team, where he was an incoming freshman.

All proceeds from the race benefit the Foundation, which works to raise awareness about sudden cardiac arrest, fund heart research and award scholarships and more.
The race kicks off at Robinson Secondary School on Saturday, June 15 at 8 a.m.

The race will start in the parking lot in front of Robinson, run through the surrounding neighborhood, and finish in the school parking lot.
Participants who prefer to walk can complete the one-mine fun run/walk, which starts right after the 5k.
The cost is $30 to register through Friday, June 15. It increases to $35 on the day of the race.
Interested participants can register online. Race packets can be picked up at the Potomac River Running Store, located at 5715 Burke Centre Pkwy., on Friday, June 14 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
There will also be a silent auction on Saturday where anyone can bid on items such Starbucks packages, gift certficates to Glory Days Grill, watercolor paintings by local Artist Gladyne Swartz and more.
