Burke Civil Air Patrol Squadron Holds Change Of Command Ceremony
The Burke Civil Air Patrol Squadron celebrated Cadet 2dLt Kyle Morrison's leadership and welcomed new Cadet Commander 2dLt Lorenzo Felline.

BURKE, VA — The Burke Composite Squadron of the Civil Air Patrol celebrated the end of a term under the leadership of Cadet 2dLt Kyle Morrison and welcomed the new Cadet Commander 2dLt Lorenzo Felline.
At the Dec. 7 event, the squadron also recognized the growth in the number of new cadets joining its ranks. The squadron now has more than 120 members.
The Cadet Commander holds a crucial leadership role, responsible for guiding and inspiring cadets within the squadron. As the highest-ranking cadet in the squadron, the cadet commander is responsible for directing the unit and leading by example.

Cadet 2dLt Kyle Morrison has demonstrated exceptional performance as the Cadet Commander and the squadron has grown under his leadership, the squadron said.
In his previous positions, Cadet 2d Lt Felline demonstrated remarkable leadership, earning his role as the new Cadet Commander

“I am honored to have been selected for this position, and I hope you all will help me make Burke Composite Squadron the best it can be,” Felline said.
The Virginia Wing of the Civil Air Patrol, with 22 squadrons across the state, has about 1,800 members, 12 light aircraft, and 29 multipurpose vehicles.
Founded in 1941, the Civil Air Patrol is chartered by Congress as a nonprofit organization for the purposes of youth development, aerospace education, and to promote general aviation.
