Please join us for our 1st annual Fire Drill 5K/1 Miler on Sunday, May 1, 2022 at 8 a.m. at Burke Lake Park. In conjunction with our partner, Potomac River Running, we will offer four categories:

5K
1 Mile Fun Run
Virtual 5K
Virtual 1 Mile Fun Run

All Race Participants will receive a commemorative race shirt and finisher medal. Be sure to register by Friday, April 15 to be guaranteed a shirt.

Additionally, everyone’s favorite fire dog, Sparky, will be joining us along with his BVFRD fire engine. Whether you want to try to outrun the 6-foot Sparky and “personal record” your 5K, or just want to walk/run and enjoy the park in the 1-mile fun run, there is something for everyone!

Let’s all get out of the house and come together out in the sun to start the summer off right. Online registration is now open and will close on Friday, April 29 at 8 p.m. at https://potomac.enmotive.com/…/2022-bvfrd-fire-drill-5k
