Greenspring’s Hosts Annual SUMMERFEST Event
Car show BBQ, Kettle Corn truck, craft vendors, live music by the Surf Jaguars, Christmas in July Sale at "Santa's Workshop," & more!
Greenspring, an Erickson Senior Living community in Springfield, Va., hosted its annual SUMMERFEST celebration on July 11.
At the festival, residents, staff, family, friends, and prospective residents enjoyed a car show BBQ, Kettle Corn truck, craft vendors, live music by the Surf Jaguars, Christmas in July Sale at “Santa’s Workshop,” a photo booth, and more. In addition, attendees generously contributed 875 pounds of food and non-perishable items for donation to the food bank at Ecumenical Community Helping Others (ECHO).
All proceeds from the event support the Greenspring Benevolent Care Fund, which provides confidential financial support to residents living at the community who, through no fault of their own, have outlived their resources. Thanks to the fund, no Greenspring resident has ever needed to leave their home within the community due to inability to pay, and residents have peace of mind in their home for life.
