SPRINGFIELD, VA — Three 16-year-olds drove a stolen Toyota Tundra through the front of a Springfield gun store as part of an early morning burglary on Monday, according to the Fairfax County Police Department.
The three suspects used the Tundra to ram the front of the Dominion Defense gun store at 7200 Fullerton Road in Springfield, about 1:19 a.m. They entered the store and began stuffing firearms into backpacks, which they tossed into the vehicle, according to police. The suspects were in and out of the store in about a minute. The teens then fled to Maryland in the stolen SUV.
Two of the three suspects were arrested in Maryland, where they were charged for possession of stolen firearms taken from the gun shop, Fairfax police said at a press conference Monday afternoon. FCPD will also be making charges, most likely burglary charges in connection to the Monday morning break-in, according to Chief Kevin Davis.
