West Springfield High School is closed for the day Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2016, after an electrical fire Wednesday morning. No one was injured, according to a message from the school administration to parents.  A piece of construction equipment sparked an electrical fire at approximately 6 a.m., according to the message.The fire was put out, but "a great deal of smoke permeated throughout the building." A decision will be made later Wednesday regarding afternoon activities.The school is expected to open on schedule Thursday morning.
