Zombie Slouch 5K Walk, Run Returns to Centreville Day
Centreville Day is one of western Fairfax County's most loved annual events.

The festivities of Centreville Day are just around the corner and there's still time to register for one of the day's most unique events: the annual Zombie Slouch 5K Run/Walk.
The event begins Saturday at 8 a.m. at St. John's Church at 5649 Mount Gilead Road in Centreville. Dogs, strollers and costumes are all welcome in the 5K, organizers said. Spectators are encouraged to come in their Halloween costumes, too.
Prizes will be given for: fastest female,fastest male, fastest child under 12, most creative child and most creative adult.
All proceeds from the run benefit DC Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation.
Online registration is open until Friday. The link is here. Late registration is at 8 a.m. on Saturday. The fee is $25 and includes a shirt. The fee for walkers is $15, but doesn't include a shirt. The fee for a family of walkers is $60. Shirts can be purchased for $15.
