• Public hearing to name FCPS' new western high school set for tonight (ffxnow.com) — Families in the Centreville High School boundary could soon have a new option, as Fairfax County Public Schools moves toward naming and opening a western high school that will draw from Centreville and four other pyramids. A public hearing on 10 proposed names, many with aerospace themes, is set for tonight, with community comments accepted through Jan. 4 and enrollment decisions for the 2026-27 school year starting this week.
