Centreville Man Killed in Saturday Crash in Leesburg Identified

Kwang Hon Yun was killed in a crash in Leesburg on Saturday.

A Centreville man killed in a crash in Leesburg on Saturday afternoon is identified as 39-year-old Kwang Hon Yun, Leesburg Police said in a press release issued Monday afternoon. 

Police responded to the scene of a crash on East Market Street, not far from the Route 15 bypass around 5:46 p.m. 

They say Yun was on a 1996 Honda Shadow motorcycle coming off the Route 15 bypass ramp for East Market Street when it made contact with a cargo trailer towed by a Dodge Dakota truck, police said. 

Yun died at the scene as a result of his injuries. 

The Leesburg Police Department’s Crash Reconstruction Unit along with Virginia State Police continue to investigate the cause of the crash. Anyone witnessed this crash is asked to call contact Master Police Officer Lotz at 703-771-4578 or by email attlotz@leesburgva.gov.
