Chantilly Police District to Participate in Drug Take-Back Day
Three Fairfax County Police stations are participating in the Drug Take-Back Initiative.
The Fairfax County Police Department's Sully District Station in Chantilly is a drug drop-off location for Saturday's National Drug Take-Back Day.
The annual event is a cooperative effort of local law enforcement and the federal Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) to keep unused and expired medications from being abused or stolen.

The Sully District Station is one of three in the county serving as drop-off locations.
The other two are the Mason and Franconia District Stations.
Drugs will be accepted between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Anyone can drop off any drug, no questions asked.
Last year, Americans turned in 371 tons of prescription drugs at more than 5,800 sites. Bringing unwanted drugs to designated locations is better, according to health officials, who say flushing medications down the toilet can cause health problems.
The Sully District Station is located at 4900 Stonecroft Blvd.
