1940s Ice Cream Social at the Spindle Sears House in Historic Centreville Park, Monday May 30, 11 am to 2 pm.
Take a step back in time to the 1940s and tour the Spindle Sears House, bring a picnic lunch and enjoy ice cream for dessert. There will be 100 scoops courtesy of the Centreville Baskin Robbins, or help hand-crank your own home-made ice cream. The Prince William Sound Barbershop Quartet will sing songs from the 1940s. SYA Extreme will give a cheer and help with tug of war and other family games as will costumed interpreters from Sully Historic Site.
But we haven’t forgotten the meaning of the day: please join Sully District Supervisor Michael Frey and American Legion Post 1995 in honoring those who have served Centreville and the nation.
