• FCPS Investigation Finds Staff-Facilitated Abortion Claims Are Untrue (northernvirginiamag.com) — Fairfax County Public Schools say an outside investigation found no credible evidence that Centreville High School staff helped students obtain abortions, countering widely publicized 2021 allegations. Superintendent Michelle Reid shared the findings with Centreville families and staff, emphasizing that personnel were wrongly accused and that results have been provided to state and federal investigators.

• Western High School could be name of Fairfax County's new western high school (ffxnow.com) — Centreville families could soon opt into a new “Western High School,” which Fairfax County may name for its geographic location rather than a person. Opening in 2026-27 at the former King Abdullah Academy site, it will initially take students by opt-in from the Centreville High School pyramid before full boundary changes phase in.
