1) Covered in snow and frequented by all sorts of wildlife, is a great place to go for a walk on a warm day. Just make sure to bring your galoshes- with the snow melting, it's bound to be wet out there.

2) Historic downtown Clifton is a great place to spend an afternoon, either examining the local history and buildings, or stopping into the local businesses.  A few highlights include the Clifton General Store, where you can pick up some basic necessities as if in a traditional general store, or enjoy some delicious food at the Main Street Pub.  Noodles and Noggins offers toys and fun for the kids, and Clifton Wine Shop and Tasting Room has over 2000 bottles of wine for sale, according to their web site.

3) Jireh Bakery Cafe. This small bakery tucked away on a corner of Lee Hwy has the best chai tea latte in this side of the world.

4) West Fairfax Christian Ministries serves hundreds of families in the local area. Right now they need volunteers to help with administrative work and their thrift store in Chantilly.

5) Pho Duong in Centreville Square never skimps on portions. A "small" bowl of pho is enormous, and the prices won't break the bank either.
