Disorderly Conduct Investigation Results In 2 Men Facing Assault And Battery Charges
Arlington County Police responding to a disorderly conduct report in Clarendon charge two men with resisting arrest and assaulting officers.

CLARENDON, VA — Arlington County Police filed assault and battery charges against two men early Thursday morning in Clarendon, according to the daily crime report.
Officers responded around 12:26 a.m. for the report of disorderly conduct involving a person being removed by security personnel from a business in the 3100 block of Wilson Boulevard. The arriving officers observed a man involved in an argument with a group of people. When they made contact with the man, he became uncooperative and aggressive, according to police. The officers attempted to take the man into custody, but they reported the man actively resisted arrest, kicked an officer repeatedly and tried to run away. After a brief chase on foot, the officers took the suspect into custody.
Police charged Luke Buchanan, 33, of Washington, D.C., with being drunk in public, obstruction of justice, and assault and battery on police.

While police were investigating this incident, another man who was not involved repeatedly tried to hit an officer in the back of her head. When other officers tried to intervene, the man threw jackets at them, acted disorderly and resisted arrest. Police charged Luis Vasquez, 29, of no fixed address with disorderly conduct, obstruction of justice, and assault and battery on police.
Both Buchanan and Vasquez were held without bond.
