Student With Knife Scratches Juvenile Riding On An Arlington County School Bus

A passenger on an Arlington County school bus was scratched by another passenger who was wielding a knife.

CLARENDON, VA — Arlington County Police are investigating the report of an assault involving a knife that occurred Tuesday afternoon on a school bus in the Court House area, according to the daily crime report.

Officers were dispatched to the 2100 block of Clarendon Boulevard around 4:45 p.m. for the late report of an assault. They determined that the juvenile victim was riding a school bus around 3:30 p.m, when they became involved in an argument with another student. The other student pulled out a knife and held it up, scratching the victim. A witness pushed the suspect away and he left bus.

A short time later, the suspect approached the victim and witness who were walking in the area of Clarendon Boulevard and N. Barton Street. When he ran toward them with the knife, they were able to run to safety.
