Here are the top three stories in Clarendon-Courthouse-Rosslyn today:
- Arlington County held its final "Missing Middle" board meeting on Saturday, during which residents expressed their views on zoning changes that could significantly alter the county's single-family neighborhoods. The Arlington County Board was able to hear from nearly 224 of the 250 people who signed up to speak about the effort to create expanded housing options, which began in 2020 with the Missing Middle Housing Study. Supporters of the proposal thanked the county board for pushing the housing proposal forward, while opponents felt that creating more housing density in single-family neighborhoods would not produce more affordable housing options for middle- or lower-income people. - Several recently-opened Arlington eateries, including one in Courthouse and one in Rosslyn, have been featured in Arlington Magazine. Captain Cookie and the Milkman, which opened in Courthouse on Feb. 10, offers freshly-baked cookies, ice cream sandwiches and shakes, and even safe-to-eat cookie dough. Foxtrot, which opened in Rosslyn on Jan. 13, is an upscale combination cafe/food shop that sells breakfast foods, drinks, and treats.
