Here are the top three stories in Clarendon-Courthouse-Rosslyn:
- To address rising student drug use and overdoses, Arlington County Public Schools parents held a meeting yesterday to discuss the possibility of allowing children to carry their own Narcan. The event included panelists from Arlington's police department and court system, as well as resources for mental and behavioral health support. Earlier in the month, a school district spokesperson said officials were looking into the idea of students bringing their own Narcan, though would need to investigate legislative and regulatory avenues. - Greenheart Juice Shop has signed a 10-year lease for a space at Ballston Exchange in Arlington's Rosslyn-Ballston Metro corridor. The shop, known for its healthy smoothies and bowls, is set to open in June and take over the space previously occupied by Philz Coffee. Ballston Exchange is a mixed-use campus with 783,000 square feet of retail and office space owned by Jamestown, which acquired the property for $300 million in 2015. (Commercial Observer)
- Seven months ago, a fiery car crash caused Ireland's Four Courts to close its doors. Now, construction is underway on the Courthouse-based Irish pub, with the hopes of reopening by early August.
