Shooting Incident In Clarendon Under Investigation: Police
Arlington County Police detectives are investigating a shooting incident that occurred early Monday on Wilson Boulevard.
CLARENDON, VA — Detectives from the Arlington County Police Department are investigating a shooting incident that occurred early Monday morning in the Clarendon area, according to a police release.
Officers were dispatched around 1:15 a.m., for the report of shots being fired in the 2800 block of Wilson Blvd. After establishing a perimeter, officers discovered evidence confirming that multiple shots had been fired. As they surveyed the neighborhood, police found an unoccupied vehicle parked in the 1300 block of N. Garfield St. that had been hit by two bullets.
A preliminary investigation revealed that a large group of people where involved in a fight in the area before the shooting, according to police. Witnesses told police they saw an SUV and a burgundy sedan leaving the scene. No injuries were reported in connection with the shooting and police have no suspect descriptions at this time. This is an ongoing criminal investigation.
