House Fire In Dale City Displaces 14 People

According to Prince William County's Fire and Rescue, 7 adults and 7 children were displaced after their home sustained extensive damage.

DALE CITY, VA — A house fire in Dale City displaced 14 people early Thursday morning according to Prince William County's Fire and Rescue.

According to the agency, firefighters responded to the 13000 block of Langstone Drive shortly after 1 a.m. for a reported house fire.

Crews said that when they arrived on scene, they saw heavy fire and smoke come from the rear of the home.

The fire was discovered by one of the home’s occupants who alerted the others within the home.

Firefighters said the home sustained extensive damage.

The Building Official declared the home unsafe to occupy displacing 7 adults and 7 children, who are being assisted by the American Red Cross.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Fire Marshal’s Office.
