Woman Suffers Serious Injuries In I-95 Crash In Dale City: Police
A woman suffered life-threatening injuries after the driver of a pickup truck rammed into the back of her car Thursday on I-95 in Dale City.
DALE CITY, VA — A woman is clinging to life after a crash early Thursday morning on Interstate 95 in Prince William County where the driver of a pickup truck, who was arrested for driving under the influence, rammed into the back of her car, according to the Virginia State Police.
Southbound traffic on I-95 had slowed to a stop south of the truck scales in Dale City when a 2014 Dodge Ram pickup truck failed to stop in time around 12:30 a.m. on Thursday, the police said. The Dodge rear-ended a 2011 Acura TSX. The impact of the crash caused the Acura to strike two tractor-trailers.
The woman driving the Acura was taken to Fairfax Inova Hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Dodge, Michael A. Pope, 47, of Triangle suffered minor injuries. Pope was arrested for DUI and taken to the Prince William County Adult Detention Center, the state police said.
The Virginia State Police said Thursday they are continuing to investigate the crash.
