Actress Marlo Thomas to Campaign for Clinton Campaign in Del Ray
Marlo Thomas, actress, producer and social activist, will campaign for Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton Saturday in Del Ray.
ALEXANDRIA, VA -- Marlo Thomas, actress, producer and social activist (and who some may recall from her starring role in TV's "That Girl"), will campaign for the Clinton-Kaine presidential ticket Saturday morning in Del Ray, the Clinton campaign announced Friday.
Thomas is scheduled to campaign for the Democrats Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the Del Ray Farmers Market, at 2311 Mt. Vernon Ave.
Thomas' appearance is part of what the campaign is calling Hillary for Virginia's largest weekend of action to date in advance of the Monday's voter registration deadline. At events across Northern Virginia Saturday and Sunday, Thomas, along with EMILY's List president Stephanie Schriock and congressional candidate LuAnn Bennett (who is running to unseat Republican Congresswoman Barbara Comstock, in the 10th congressional district) will join women's activist organizations to urge Virginians to support Clinton and Kaine in November.
