ALEXANDRIA, VA — This holiday season, the best gift an animal shelter pet can receive is a new home.

Patch regularly features adoptable pets from the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria. The organization runs the city's animal shelter and provides services to animals and pet owners.

One of the adoptable pets is Ozzy, a friendly bunny who would love to find new friends. He enjoys snacks and entertaining people. His adoption fees are covered by a sponsor.

Here's more information about Ozzy:

Ozzy is a 5-year-old American Fuzzy Lop rabbit. American Fuzzy Lop rabbits are known for being active, sweet, curious and highly sociable. And Ozzy is all of those! He's a fun, friendly and playful guy. He loves attention and entertaining visitors. As soon as he sees a new friend, he hops right over to say hi. Some of his favorite snacks are apple sticks, carrots and crunchy timothy biscuits. Ozzy also really seems to like his hay tubes, which we use for enrichment. We suggest hitting the bunny trail to the AWLA so you can meet Ozzy! Thanks to Priority Automotive Group, Ozzy's adoption fee is waived through this month. Photos are courtesy of Lucia Smith Art.
