Alexandria Pet Of The Week: Igor Is Ready To Win Over New Family

ALEXANDRIA, VA — As you get ready for the holiday season, you may be looking to add a furry friend to your family.

Consider starting your search at the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria, which coordinates adoptions for animal shelter pets and provides other animal services. One of the available pets is Igor, a dog who is ready to show off the tricks he is learning.

We're not sure how adoptable Igor manages to look THIS COOL all the time. Despite his really ridiculously good looks and fun personality, Igor has waited since June to find a home of his own. Igor is active and playful, yet definitely knows when it's time to chill out and relax. He's greatly improved his leash manners and knows cues for "sit," "down," and "paw." Igor loves to receive attention from people (and has done well around kiddos, too). He is also housetrained!! We do think Igor needs to be the only animal in the home, but with so much to love to share, you really don't need any others! And even though Igor probably would do best living in a single animal household, he is able to co-exist peacefully with other animals during events and walks. He did wonderfully at Paws in the Park!
