Alexandria Pet Of The Week: Prince Will Make A Regal Companion

Patch regularly features adoptable pets from the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria, which runs the city's animal shelter and provides other animal services.

This week's featured pet is Prince, a dog who will be your loyal companion once he warms up to you. His new family can take him home with the adoption fee already covered and a year of dog food, toys and treats.

Prince is a handsome 1-year-old dog who is looking for a special family. He is unique looking as a striking all-white dog with a black button nose and curled tail. Prince can be a little shy when meeting new people, but once you're well acquainted, he's a very nice, sweet, social, loving dog. As he is young, we do think he'd thrive in a home with a yard or an active individual to take him on walks, runs, or other outdoor adventures. Prince absolutely adores toys! He can be found prancing around the shelter with a stuffed toy in his mouth. He likes to share them with people and chase them. Prince is very smart and already knows a few training cues. We think continued training would also be important to keep him mentally stimulated and to be the bestest boy we know he can be. Even though he does enjoy play sessions, he's not overly hyper typically and understand the importance of relaxation! Prince will make a very loyal and loving companion!
