Alexandria Planning Commission to Consider Warwick Pool Plans Nov. 1
In operation since 1958, old pool and pool house will be demolished to make way for $2 million-plus pool and pool house.

ALEXANDRIA, VA -- The City's Planning Commission will consider the renovation plans for the City's Warwick Pool at its meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 1. Plans call for a new pool and 1-story, 1,980-square foot bathhouse after the old pool and bathhouse are demolished. The old pool was in operation since 1958. Residents in the area have had to do without the pool the past two summers.
Plans call for the new facilities will be ADA compliant and for the current pool and wade pool to be replaced with one 5,000-square foot pool. The current bathhouse/community room will make way for just a seasonal bathhouse. Planners are proposing that the bathhouse be located 22.7 feet from the property line instead of the required 30 feet and they are also asking for a parking reduction (most who use the pool walk from their homes in the neighborhood).
Parking spaces for four bicycles will be provided. The pool is located at 3301 Landover St. (see map below).
