ALEXANDRIA, VA -- An Alexandria school is closing early due to cooling issues Wednesday.Alexandria City Public Schools announced that GW Middle School will be dismissing at 1:15 p.m. Wednesday as a result of cooling issues in the building.Temperatures are getting up to the mid-80s Wednesday in Alexandria, according to the National Weather Service.Students and staff are being relocated to cooler parts of the building until dismissal, ACPS noted.
