ALX Bark Bingo Encourages Support For Small Businesses During Dog Days Of Summer

ALEXANDRIA, VA — The dog days of summer are much more fun when our canine companions are involved. This August, ALX Dog Walk is hosting ALX Bark Bingo, a challenge being hosted at participating Alexandria businesses.

From Aug. 1 to 14, visit a participating business to pick up a bingo card. Look for a yellow topiary box or store poster where you can scan the QR code on the bingo card to reveal a dog. If there's a match, you can go into the store to get your card stamped.

Once you get a bingo with a horizontal, vertical or diagonal line, email a photo of your winning bingo card to barkbingo@alxdogwalk.com. A drawing on Aug. 15 will determine four winners of $300 gift certificates from participating stores. Participants should follow @alxdogwalk to qualify for the drawing.

ALX Bark Bingo is a collaboration between Carlyle Council, Del Ray Business Association, Old Town Business Association, and West End Business Association to support Alexandria's small businesses. Funds from ALX Dog Walk's annual dog walk in April are supporting the activity.
