Some schools were in lock-in status Friday afternoon as police searched for a bank robbery suspect in the Del Ray area.

ALEXANDRIA, VA -- A bank was robbed Friday in Alexandria's Del Ray neighborhood, prompting a "lock in" of several schools in the area. The suspect implied he had a weapon, police said.

On Friday at 12:15 p.m., a man entered the bank, handed a note to a teller and implied he had a weapon; no one was injured during the robbery, police said.
