Armed Robberies at 2 Jefferson Davis Highway Pharmacies: Police

Police sent out an alert about the incidents shortly after 8:45 p.m. Wednesday.

ALEXANDRIA, VA -- A suspect attempted to rob two pharmacies Wednesday night in Alexandria, and implied he had a weapon, according to police.

The Alexandria Police Department is investigating both robberies; the first took place at a pharmacy in the 3800 block of Jefferson Davis Highway (see map below).

Police say the suspect implied he had a weapon at the first robbery.

The suspect then attempted a robbery at a second nearby pharmacy, in the 600 block of E. Glebe Road (see second map below). Police say the suspect fled the area; there were no injuries, according to police.

Police did not release a description of the suspect.
