Bands & Brews Summer Bar Crawl Planned In Del Ray
Over a dozen Del Ray restaurants are participating in the August bar crawl.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — The next rendition of Del Ray's bar crawls will combine food and drink specials with live music along Mount Vernon Avenue. Bands & Brews, Del Ray's Summer Bar Crawl, will be held Aug. 21 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Over a dozen Del Ray restaurants will participate, offering specials on cocktails, beer and food. Between visits to restaurants, attendees can enjoy live music along Mount Vernon Avenue at Pat Miller Neighborhood Square and at select restaurants.
To attend, tickets are available in advance for $15 or $20 at the door. A ticket includes specials at participating restaurants, trolley transportation, raffles and more. The grand prize raffle is two Washington Capitals tickets. The first 300 registrants will receive a 16 ounce event souvenir cup. Bar Crawl t-shirts will also be on sale on Aug. 21.

Check-in will begin at 12:30 p.m. at either Lena's Wood-Fired Pizza & Tap (401 E. Braddock Road) or Northside10 (10 E. Glebe Road) until 3 p.m. Late check-in will be available at Pork Barrel BBQ (2312 Mount Vernon Avenue) after 3 p.m.
Live music will include The Okays at 3 p.m. and Practically Einstein at 4:30 p.m. on the main stage at Pat Miller Neighborhood Square. Other musical performers scheduled are Justin Trawick, Jonathan Mitchem, Smokin' Lounge and Dan Berry.

Participating restaurants include: Northside 10, Hops N Shine, Cheesetique, Evening Star Café, The Garden, Lena's Wood-Fired Pizza & Tap, St. Elmo's Coffee Pub, Piece Out, Pork Barrel BBQ, Del Ray Café, Del Ray Pizzeria, Elo's Italian Pop-Up at Live Oak, Spice Kraft, Taqueria Pablano and Stomping Ground.
The event is held by the Del Ray Business Association and sponsored by Bobi Bomar & Ellen Patrick of the Homes of Alexandria Team of Compass. Per local and CDC health guidance, all attendees are urged to wear a mask in any indoor public spaces. Unvaccinated people are asked to wear masks for the event.
